2026 Event Ambassadors

  • Jessica Binks

Jess completed her first triathlon in 2025 at the Every Woman Tri mini distance. At the time, she was training for a half marathon, couldn’t swim, and didn’t own a bike—but signed up anyway after seeing the event advertised. The experience was so empowering that she went on to complete the Busselton Women’s Tri short distance and the Busselton 100 short distance, gradually increasing her race lengths as her confidence grew.

Inspired by the incredible women she met (juggling work, training, and family) Jess found a deep sense of purpose in the sport. She loves the positive atmosphere of triathlon events, the welcoming local community, and the challenge of pushing her limits while learning new skills. Overcoming her fear of open water is one of her proudest goals.

Triathlon has transformed Jess’s relationship with her body and how she approaches nutrition. No longer focused on shrinking herself to be “fitter,” she now fuels her body with intention and speaks openly with her children about how food helps us grow, recover, and thrive.

As an Every Woman Triathlon ambassador, Jess is passionate about showing women that no matter their age, shape, or fitness level, they can do hard things. Whether it’s training for a triathlon, applying for a promotion, or running a marathon, she believes our strengths are unlimited. You don’t have to be fast or perfect, you just have to start.

    Distance Racing in 2026: Long
Favourite discipline: Bike, run, then swim. I’m still a terrible swimmer and I don’t train it as much as I should (don’t tell my coach haha).
Pump-up song: Could have been me - The Struts
How many triathlons completed: Three mini tris and two duathlons.
Pre-race ritual: Have all my gear laid out on my table and pack to double check. Loud pump up music, to sing and dance to while I eat the same pre race breakfast (eggs on sourdough and espresso), check my tires and get my battle braids ready.
Fun Fact: I’m a mum and have two little boys, 7 and 5 years old. They’ve seen how much fun I’ve had training and racing, so they’ve decided they want to give Triathlon a go as well.

  • Chloe Barrett-Lennard

Chloe discovered her love for triathlon in 2010, teaming up with her two sisters for Triathlon Pink Perth and instantly connecting with the fun and energy of the sport. After years of playing basketball and netball and undergoing multiple knee reconstructions, Chloe decided in 2021 to fully commit to triathlon training. Unfortunately, her plans were put on hold when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

In 2023, she celebrated the end of cancer treatment by completing the Enticer distance at Every Woman Triathlon. The event’s supportive and inclusive atmosphere reignited her passion for tri, and she’s been racing ever since.

For Chloe, triathlons are a personal challenge and a source of joy. Training across three disciplines that don’t come naturally to her keeps things exciting, and race day brings a rush of adrenaline and a sense of purpose. She thrives in the uplifting community that surrounds the sport.

As an Every Woman Triathlon ambassador, Chloe is proud to represent beginners and those overcoming personal hurdles. She’s excited to share her journey and show that triathlon is truly for everyone.

    Distance Racing in 2026: Enticer
Favourite discipline: I am not naturally good at swimming, cycling or running but I have grown to love the swim leg the most. I think it's really because of the pre-race banter among athletes that you get at the start line. I also love transition, and I really try to master that between disciplines.
Pump-up song: Surprisingly, slow songs pump me up pre race and while training - so anything acoustic!
Goal for the 2026 race:  To keep showing up for myself, to be consistent with training, and to beat my own 2024 time in the enticer.
How many triathlons completed: Over the years I have completed about 12, all enticer/sprint distances.
Pre-race ritual: Drink plenty of water. I like to wear my "Carrie beanies 4 Brain cancer" lucky hat while racing and I like to write or draw something on my hand to remind me of my ‘why’ for that race. You will often see me in my double mastectomy t-shirt on the track too, to raise awareness of ‘knowing your normal’ and checking yourself!

  • Emily Mawle

Emily completed her first triathlon at age 12, joining her mum, brother, and friends for Triathlon Pink Perth. One of her funniest memories from that race was when she came into T2 thinking she was way ahead of everyone else before quickly realising she’d only completed half the bike course. Oops! She now makes sure to read and know the course maps before every race.

After a long break and time spent travelling, she returned to triathlon in 2023, joining Perth Tri Club with her mum. A sprint race in March reignited her passion for the sport, leading to her first long-distance triathlon in Austria and the Busso Ironman 70.3 later that same year.

What Emily loves most about tri is being able to push her own limits, and having the opportunity to race in beautiful locations at home and abroad.

As an Every Woman Triathlon ambassador, Emily is most excited about encouraging more women and girls to be active and give triathlon a go. She’s passionate about promoting shorter distances as a great way to start, and loves showing how supportive and welcoming the triathlon community can be.

    Distance Racing in 2026: Duathlon
    Favourite discipline: Swim, for sure!
Pump-up song: Wake Me Up - Avicii
Goal for the 2026 race: To have fun, and soak up the amazing community energy!
    How many triathlons completed: 7
Pre-race ritual: Pb + Banana on rice cakes always
Fun Fact: I'm a qualified foundation triathlon and swim coach, currently studying Sport Science & Exercise Health at UWA, with the goal of supporting women to stay active and strong for as long as possible.

  • Emily Krause

Emily has always had a passion for staying active. Growing up playing a variety of sports, she also really loved to run. She discovered triathlon at age 25 after hearing friends talk about an upcoming event. Thinking, “I can swim, I used to ride a bike, and I love to run…why not?”, she signed up for her first Enticer distance at the 2024 Every Woman Triathlon, crossing the finish line in a purple tutu. The supportive volunteers and community vibe made it an unforgettable experience.

Now hooked on the sport, Emily enjoys training across all three disciplines, especially when she can do it outdoors by the beach (her happy place).

As an Every Woman Triathlon ambassador, she’s excited to encourage other women to step outside their comfort zones, embrace the challenge, and achieve their goals.

    Distance Racing in 2026: Long
    Favourite discipline: Run
Pump-up song: Laced Up- Hilltop Hoods
Goal for the 2026 race: My goal foremost is always to show up, and have fun. Then if it's the right day I am trying to chase that PB.
How many triathlons completed: 5 total (1x Enticer, 2x Sprints, 1x Standard, 1x Busso 100)

  • Jodie Turner

Jodie is a proud mum of two boys and a passionate triathlete who began her sport journey at age 37, after years of watching from the sidelines. Inspired by her sons, one a triathlete, and the other a duathlete competing with Cerebral Palsy, she decided to stop saying “one day” and just start. From zero fitness to completing her first Every Woman Triathlon in 2025, Jodie discovered a new sense of strength and confidence.

As an Every Woman Triathlon Ambassador, she wants to encourage women to take that first step and have a go, reminding them that triathlon is about showing up for yourself, pushing through self-doubt, and celebrating what you are capable of. She wants to help others experience the joy and empowerment that triathlon has given her.

    Distance Racing in 2026: Long
Favourite discipline: The run because it’s where I surprised myself the most!
Pump-up song: Good as Hell - Lizzo
Goal for the 2026 race:  If just one woman sees me out there on that course and decides to give it a go, that’s the real win.
How many triathlons completed: 3 Triathlons and counting!
Pre-race ritual: Bag pack the night before!  I line up my gear perfectly then spend 10 minutes worrying I’ve forgotten something obvious, like my helmet.
Fun Fact:  A year ago I couldn't run 100m. Since starting training for Triathlons I have developed a love for running! I completed my first half Marathon in Sept 2025.
